TW: ATTEMPTED RAPE, AWFUL CISSEXISM
And Sweden fails terribly at human rights yet again.
This has been on the news the last couple of days here in Sweden, and it’s SO FUCKED UP. Basically, a man in his sixties was attempting to rape a woman. He kicked her in her face, pulled down her trousers and grabbed her crotch. She managed to get away, and the case went to court. In court it turned out that the woman is transgender. AND THE COURT DECIDES TO CHARGE THE MAN WITH ASSAULT INSTEAD OF ATTEMPTED RAPE. BECAUSE SINCE SHE HADN’T HAD BOTTOM SURGERY, THE MAN WOULDN’T ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO RAPE HER????? I DON’T GET THIS. THE WHOLE THING MAKES ME SO FUCKING ANGRY.
