hey guys! alright so my gender therapist wanted me to go around and ask people: what makes you feel like the gender you are? so if you have an answer to that question i’d be more than happy to read them. thanks!

I feel like a boy because… I am a boy. I’m not particularly masculine, but I’ve never been comfortable being seen as anything other than a boy. I realised I was male when I could no longer live as female, I tried living as non binary identity and it didn’t work so my only option left was living as male.
I think your gender identity is innate. It’s something that is just there within you, it’s not something that can be learnt or manipulated.

That’s a difficult question. I don’t feel like I have a gender, I look at myself as just a person  that has too much going on to be confined to restricting labels. I realise most people will perceive me as female and have come to terms with that, though I try to make an effort with people I hang around with a lot to remind them on pronoun usage etc. But what makes me feel like I don’t have a gender? I don’t know. I guess I tried a whole lot of different gender identities on, if you can say it like that, and felt uncomfortable with any of them. I like to express myself with the way I look, and I don’t want that expression to be limited to gender. I think in my ideal world, gender just wouldn’t matter at all - you could look the way you want regardless of body types, chromosomes or genitals, there would be complete equality and it just would not be a thing people cared about, especially when it came to other people. Well.. I can dream, right?
